The Utah Utes are officially third in the AP poll, matching there best ranking since 2015. They also own the longest active winning streak in the FBS with 14 games.
Four more regular-season victories would turn their impressive run into a historic season.
With Devon Dampier under center he has given Utah a reason to continue trusting him and keep the offense functioning. Just recently against Cincinnati he had completed 22-of-29 passes while adding 45 rushing yards.
With Dampier’s ability to extend possessions with his legs while having defenses still respect his passing ability it has led to him being able to have an 18-2 record.
With their Cincinnati victory it showed they can put a game out of reach easily on as long as Dampier leads the offense, they protect the football and avoid defensive mistakes.
Utah has outscored opponents 89-6 in first quarters this season, as well. With the Utes being able to play freely and dominantly, they have the ability to truly go undefeated.
