Utah's Anthony Woods Enters the Transfer Portal

Utah has lost yet another running back to the transfer portal as former Idaho Vandals star Anthony Woods officially announced his intent to enter the portal after not playing a single down in a Utes uniform.

Woods was electric with Idaho as he tallied 361 carries for 2,003 yards and 19 touchdowns in his two years with the program, and he racked up 207 of those carries, 1,131 of those yards, and 16 of those touchdowns in the leadup to his Utah transfer.

He was one of the most hyped acquisitions of the offseason for the Utes, but after suffering an injury early into his time with the program, he never saw a down at Rice-Eccles Stadium and has now set his sights elsewhere.

With Woods' departure, Utah's 2024 running back room now only has two players who are still with the program, Mike Mitchell and Hunter Andrews, but with the arrival of three-star Daniel Bray and four-star Raycine Guillory along with an expected running back acquisition in the transfer portal, the room has a bright future built around new offensive coordinator Jason Beck.
