Vanderbilt QB fires back at Alabama WR Ryan Williams after pledge to ‘kill an ant with a sledgehammer’

Vanderbilt quarterback, Diego Pavia is not backing down from Alabama football and Ryan Williams after the star wide receiver pledged Alabama will ‘kill an ant with a sledgehammer’ in reference to how the Tide is feeling ahead of a rematch with Vanderbilt.

The Commodores defeated Alabama 40-35 in Nashville on last season. The outcome was one of the biggest shockers of the 2024 football season, and it has Williams and his teammates motivated to avenge all of the losses the Tide suffered in 2024.

“Man, going into this game, we don’t call them revenge games,” Williams said. “We gonna kill an ant with a sledgehammer this year. So, I mean, just every game we fell short last year. We definitely got red eyes going into them.”

Pavia responded to the quote via his Instagram story.

“RUN IT,” Pavia posted to his story and tagged Williams.
