College football is awesome.

Case in point, two Penn State fans had the opportunity to run out onto the field during pregame introductions… with the opposing team.

Before Penn State football’s thrilling 33-30 comeback victory over USC in overtime at the LA Coliseum, Jordan and Claire Mott took the field donning PSU gear with the entire USC team and Trojans fans.

A real estate agent in Silicon Valley, Jordan Mott is a Penn State grad and one of the most passionate supporters on the west coast. In an incredible video, Jordan and his wife watch and troll Lincoln Riley’s team walk past him, sees James Franklin and Penn State approaching, and runs out as the last two fans to take the field out of a tunnel that ironically has ‘We Are’ painted on it.

The Nittany Lions took the field moments later, but Mott beat them to the punch. “Let’s go boys!!!” Mott can be heard screaming as the team approach him.

Jordan posted the video to Instagram and immediately went viral, amassing over 1 million views on Twitter and has been reposted by Sportscenter, On3, The Checkdown, Rivals, Bleacher Report, and more.

Mott explained USC told him it’s the first time an opposing fan has run out of the tunnel during the game day ritual. Fans can purchase tickets for $1,450-$1,800, depending on the game. There are no rules prohibiting opposing fans from participating in the field storming. The Mott’s paid the full $1,800 per person.

“Absolutely incredible experience,” Jordan told Rivals. “We 100% thought they would not allow us to do it being Pennn State fans.”

Jordan and Claire Mott running with a new Big Ten opponent on their own field is yet another example of the passion, dedication, and creativity of Penn State fans across the country.

Maybe they brought good luck as the Nittany Lions overcame a 20-6 halftime deficit to earn an emotional overtime victory thanks to a 36-yard game-winning field goal from redshirt-freshman Ryan Barker. The Mott’s may have set a new trend for fanbases visiting the LA Coliseum to follow.
