Despite trailing 14-0 in the first quarter, the Golden Bears got the cross-country road victory over the Eagles, 28-24. Down by 3, quarterback Jaron-Kaewe Sagapolutele found tight end Mason Mini for a 51-yard catch and run to give Cal the lead with 1:30 left in the game. Boston College was able to drive the length of the field for a potential game-winning score, but Luke Ferrelli picked off a pass in the end zone to lock up the win. Sagapolutele completed 22 of 34 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Kendrick Raphael ran for 113 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. For Boston College, running back Turbo Richard ran the ball 15 times for 171 yards and two touchdowns.
