Watch: Florida WR makes incredible one-handed grab, brushing off vicious hit

On Saturday, Florida wideout Ricky Pearsall wowed the crowd at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, putting in his candidacy for the catch of the year.

During the first quarter of Florida's matchup against Charlotte, Pearsall leaped to make an incredible one-handed grab adjusting to a high pass from quarterback Graham Mertz. If the degree of difficulty wasn't high enough for the senior, he withstood a brutal, sandwiching blow from two defenders, holding onto the football for a 25-yard completion.

There will be more highlight-reel catches in the coming weeks, but one would be hard-pressed to find a reception that checks all the boxes like Pearsall's.

Pearsall not only made an athletic play just to catch the ball, but he brushed off a hit that would make most crumble to the turf in agony. The only thing that would've made Pearsall's grab untouchable is if it had put six points on the scoreboard.
