Oregon head coach Dan Lanning took a shot at Colorado during his pregame speech, telling his team that the Buffaloes are "fighting for clicks. We're fighting for wins."

"Rooted in substance, not flash," said Lanning. "The Cinderella story is over, man," he added, alluding to the Buffaloes' improvement from a 1-11 record in 2022.
Associated Press No. 19 Colorado's been the most popular team in college football this season after its 3-0 start under head coach Deion Sanders. That's clearly irked some coaches, with Lanning using the attention given to the Buffaloes as motivation for his squad.
The Ducks got a hot start, jumping to a 35-0 first-half lead. Some will point to Lanning's fiery pep talk as a reason for the team's impressive beginning, but No. 10 Oregon is talented enough that it doesn't need intense speeches to dominate opponents.
Plus, to be fair to Colorado, suggesting that it's only interested in publicity, not wins, is absurd. It isn't Sanders' fault that people can't get enough of him or his team. Not to mention, the Buffaloes have only dominated the national conversation because they have won their games.
After the Ducks overwhelmed the Buffaloes in the first half, they might start getting clicks. They outgained Colorado 378-21 in the first half with quarterback Bo Nix going 22-of-24 for 217 yards and four total touchdowns.
