A former Mountaineer showed off his talent on national television on Thursday night. Winston Wright Jr. stood out in East Carolina’s big 49-14 win over Florida Atlantic.

Wright made three receptions for 80 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns during the game, including the highlight in the video below.

Wright’s performance was his best of the 2024 season. It was his highest yards total in a single game and the first game he reached the end zone twice.

Overall in 2024, Wright has caught 33 balls for 344 yards and scored four touchdowns.

Following the 2021 season and a successful three-year tenure at WVU, Wright decided to leave the Mountaineers for Florida State. Unfortunately, Wright suffered a serious injury before the 2022 season and did not take the field for the Seminoles until the 2023 season.

Throughout his college career, Winston Wright has 133 receptions for 1,374 yards and has scored seven touchdowns. He also gained 1,310 yards and scored twice as a kickoff returner with West Virginia.
