Monday morning, West Virginia wide receiver Ja'Shaun Poke entered the transfer portal after just one year with the program. The news was first reported by 247 Sports and has been confirmed by a source close to the situation.

Poke transferred in from Kent State last offseason where he returned 14 kicks for 411 yards, averaging nearly 30 yards per return while also hauling in 31 receptions for 362 yards and a touchdown.

Poke was expected to have a big impact on special teams as a returner and add depth at receiver, but dealt with an injury and appeared in just two games for the Mountaineers this fall.

He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
