Where Texas QB Quinn Ewers Lands in Latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft

Over a dozen former Texas Longhorns players are expected to hear their name called throughout the 2025 NFL Draft.

One of the biggest names of the group is quarterback Quinn Ewers. Texas' starting signal-caller for the last three years entered the 2025 college football season as arguably the top quarterback in the nation. Ewers even held a first-round projection for the 2025 NFL Draft prior to an abdomen injury that sidelined him for a few games.

Although Ewers led the Longhorns to back-to-back College Football Playoff semifinal appearances, his injury history and inconsistent play last year has landed him in the middle rounds of many NFL mock drafts over the last few months.

In CBS Sports' latest three-round mock draft, Ewers fell to the Los Angeles Rams in the third round with the No. 101 overall pick. The Rams are expected to target a successor for Matthew Stafford and Ewers could benefit from a couple of years of development at the professional level.

However, after Ewers performed well at the NFL Combine and Texas' Pro Day, some NFL draft analysts believe Ewers and former Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart could be selected higher than expected.

NFL.com's Chad Reuter projects the Seattle Seahawks to trade up to the No. 35 overall pick to select Ewers. The New Orleans Saints have shown strong interest in the former Texas quarterback over the last few weeks as well.

Ewers concluded his collegiate career at Texas with 9,128 passing yards, 68 touchdowns and 24 interceptions.
