The time is here for Notre Dame fans, the Irish are getting ready for their final matchup of the regular season against the 6-5 USC Trojans. Notre Dame is sitting with a 10-1 overall record, and a No. 5 ranking in the most recent College Football Playoff ranking. The stage is set, win and you’re in, and you get to host a playoff game.

Things are in a much different place for the Trojans, who are just playing for pride in this game. This is, however, one of the greatest rivalries in college football and anything can happen. Here is how to watch this game on Saturday.

Notre Dame’s 2024 schedule:

  • Aug. 31 – at Texas A&M (23-13 W)
  • Sept. 7 – Northern Illinois (16-14 L)
  • Sept. 14 – Purdue (66-7 W)
  • Sept. 21 – Miami (OH) (28-3 W)
  • Sept. 28 – Louisville (31-24 W)
  • Oct. 5 – Bye
  • Oct. 12 – Stanford (49-7 W)
  • Oct. 19 – at Georgia Tech (31-13 W)
  • Oct. 26 – Navy (neutral) (W 51-14)
  • Nov. 2 – Bye
  • Nov. 9 – Florida State (W 52-3)
  • Nov. 16 – Virginia (W 35-14)
  • Nov. 23 – Army (49-14 W)
  • Nov. 30 – at USC

While the Trojans are a flawed team, they are still a very talented squad. That is especially true at the offensive skill positions. Running back Woody Marks might be the best runner that the Irish have seen all season, and wide receivers Makai Lemon and Zachariah Branch have the potential to create some big plays.

The Trojan defense has also been tremendously improved under defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn. The overall defensive talent still needs to get bigger, but the scheme is much better. They will need to be their best version of themselves against a more talented Notre Dame offense.

You can bet that USC is going to stack the box and try to force quarterback Riley Leonard to beat them. If he can, this game could get out of hand quickly. This could be an exclamation point for the Notre Dame resume.
