With the 2025 NFL Draft officially in the books, it’s important to take a look at which teams have had the most success in recent memory.

The Texas Longhorns have established some recent domination at the NFL level, having placed more prospects in the league than any team in the country over the past two seasons.

According to some recent numbers from Texas Associate Athletics Director John Bianco, the Longhorns have seen 23 different players selected in the last two drafts, which places them ahead of Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Oregon, who round out the top five.

In 2025, Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns had 12 players drafted, which ranked third-most, and their 11 selections in 2024 ranked second among all teams in the draft.

While the move to the SEC brought forth some concern of a pseudo-step up in play, the Longhorns handled it with relative ease, continuing to handle their competition and winning the SEC in Year One.

As for their former Big 12 counterpart, Oklahoma, things have been a different story. The Sooners finished their first SEC season at 6-7 overall with an abysmal 2-6 record in league play. In addition to their struggle on the field, they’ve taken a turn for the worse when it comes to sending athletes to the next level.

The Sooners saw just two athletes selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, Danny Stutsman and Billy Bowman, who each were taken as Day Three picks.
