Wide Receiver Dylan Faison Commits To Notre Dame

Notre Dame has kicked off the 2026 class with a familiar face, landing Boca Raton (Fla.) Saint Andrew's wide receiver Dylan Faison. The 5-11, 170-pound athlete is a two-sport star, ranking as one of the nation's best lacrosse players as well as excelling on the football field.

Faison was a big play waiting to happen as a sophomore for Saint Andrew's, hauling in 18 passes for 480 yards and eight touchdowns. That's good for an impressive 26.7 yards per catch. Faison was a two-way player that also registered 20 tackles and an interception on defense.

Notre Dame continues to look to add more speed and playmaking ability to the wide receiver room, and Faison certainly does that. He can stretch the field, showing a strong initial burst and an impressive second gear. Faison's speed and athleticism is easy, and he combines being a smooth and fluid athlete with the speed. His body will need to be built up, but Faison is a top notch athlete and shows a good feel for getting free as a sophomore. His hands also standout at this stage of his development.

How he fills out could ultimately determine if he's an outside or inside player, but his skillset could suit either position. He has the speed, route running talent and ball skills to play outside, and he can make plays after the catch, which should fit well inside as well.

The Saint Andrew's standout earned an official offer from Notre Dame on Sunday as part of the Pot of Gold push, and he made quick work of accepting that offer and joining the Notre Dame 2026 class. Faison is the first player to commit to Notre Dame in that class, breaking Notre Dame's streak of defensive linemen being the first to commit. Faison is the first non defensive lineman to kick off a class since Joey Tanona was first to commit as part of the 2022 class.

Faison is the younger brother of current Notre Dame freshman Jordan Faison, who came to South Bend as a lacrosse player first and football player second, the elder Faison quickly made a strong impression on the football staff. He didn't earn playing time until the seventh game of the season, but in the final seven games he caught 19 passes for 322 yards and four scores.
