Will Nick Sheridan stay on Alabama football’s coaching staff?

The question that many Alabama fans are wanting an answer to is whether or not Nick Sheridan will be a part of Alabama’s coaching staff in 2025. A source has confirmed with Touchdown Alabama that Sheridan will remain on Alabama’s coaching staff. At this time, his role on the staff remains unclear.

Sheridan originally joined Alabama’s coaching staff as the tight ends coach last offseason. Ryan Grubb was set to become Alabama’s offensive coordinator before he reneged on the opportunity and decided to accept the offensive coordinator position with the Seattle Seahawks. In a corresponding move, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer promoted Sheridan to offensive coordinator.

Sheridan served as the team’s offensive coordinator during the 2024 season. He had his share of ups and downs as Alabama’s play-caller. Now, he will assume a new role under the direction of DeBoer.

Interestingly enough, Sheridan also served as Alabama’s quarterbacks coach in 2024. He could potentially continue to serve as the quarterback coach moving forward. That is certainly a possibility for Sheridan. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see what Sheridan’s role is heading into the spring.
