Will Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart Throw at the NFL Combine Saturday?

The scouting combine is taking place this week at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana and all 32 NFL teams are in attendance. Prospective players have the opportunity to showcase their skills in on-field workouts and to impress teams during meetings and interviews with the media.

Several of the top players in the draft class have elected not to partake in the on-field workouts at the combine, but there are plenty of other players who are still participating and feel like they have something to prove. Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart confirmed during his media availability on Friday that he will be throwing during his on-field workout on Saturday.

Dart has been steadily climbing up NFL Draft boards since his final season with the Rebels ended. He has an opportunity to make even more progress on Saturday if he can put together a solid throwing performance at the NFL combine.

He won't have to compete against Colorado's Shedeur Sanders or Miami's Cam Ward, as both of them opted out of the throwing portion. Dart's draft status, however, is not as solidified as either of those two players so he will need to be at his best on Saturday if he hopes to climb into the first round of April's draft.
