WVU QB JT Daniels to enter transfer portal, could play for fourth NCAA team

Prior to the 2022 season, Daniels also played for USC and Georgia. 

Assuming he leaves West Virginia, that would give him an opportunity to start for a fourth different FBS program, and in a fourth different major conference. 

Having started at USC, Georgia and West Virginia he has already checked the Pac 12, SEC and Big 12 off of the list. Where will he land next?!

What is wild about Daniels career is that, as Thamel notes, he could still potentially have two more years of eligibility remaining if he can successfully petition the NCAA for a medical redshirt for his 2019 season. If he pulls that off there is the possibility that his NCAA career could see him appear in a game across seven seasons. 

He has already played in at least one game over five seasons. Daniels has thrown for 6,947 yards and 45 touchdowns during that time. 

His 2022 season with the Mountaineers saw him pass for 2,107 yards and 13 touchdowns (with nine interceptions) during a five-win season.
His decision to enter the portal comes just a week after the school announced head coach Neal Brown would return for another season on the WVU sidelines.
