Zavion Thomas has complete confidence in his quarterback

LSU’s Zavion Thomas spoke to the media about Garrett Nussmeier’s performance and preparing to play Florida.

How have you seen the team respond from the loss last weekend?

Zavion: Coach Kelly has something called a 24-hour rule that we all go by. We come on Sunday, watch film and flush it. We can't change the past, just finish out these last couple games of the season.

When the offense sputters, obviously everybody looks at the quarterback. What have you seen from Garrett Nussmeier this week?

Zavion: He is a gunslinger. Our confidence in him is to the ceiling so we don't really worry about him…We know what he is capable of, we know he's a great quarterback and he's going to continue to put us in position to win games.

You guys are going to the swamp and it's a hard place to play. Do you guys feel like this is a game where you can get the offense back on track?

Zavion: Yeah, just coming into practice, giving it our all and paying attention to the small things. [If we do that], we'll be alright in Gainesville.
