Indian opener Abhishek Sharma has climbed to the top of the ICC T20I rankings after his brilliant run with the bat in the Asia Cup 2025. The left-hander scored 931 rating points, surpassing England’s Dawid Malan (919), as well as India’s Suryakumar Yadav (912) and Virat Kohli (909). Remarkably, he has become only the sixth batter to cross the 900-point mark in T20I history.

Abhishek’s success came on the back of a stellar campaign where he piled up 314 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 200, including three half-centuries.
