Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, dismissed Samit Dravid, son of Rahul Dravid, during the K Thimmiappiah Trophy, a KSCA tournament in Alur. The left-arm pacer sent the 19-year-old back for nine runs in the first innings. Arjun, who moved from Mumbai to Goa in the 2022-23 season, was representing Goa in the match.
Samit, playing as a middle-order batter for KSCA Secretary’s XI alongside Karun Nair, also impressed with the ball. After Goa posted 338 runs, with Arjun contributing nine runs off 20 balls at No.9, Samit stood out by taking 2/18 in nine overs. When KSCA Secretary’s XI came out to bat, Samit Dravid arrived at the crease following Karun Nair’s dismissal.
With the scoreboard at 70-3, the side badly needed a solid stand to chase down Goa’s first-innings total. Samit struck a couple of boundaries but fell in the 28th over, caught by Kashab Bakle. The team slipped further to 94-5 before a crucial 93-run sixth-wicket stand steadied the innings. By the 86th over, KSCA Secretary’s XI had reached 255-8, still trailing Goa by 83 runs.
The left-arm seamer struck early for Goa, removing opposition skipper Nikin Jose S J in the third over, before striking twice in the same over to dismiss Samit Dravid and Dhruv P. He ended the day as the standout bowler with figures of 3-50. At stumps, KSCA XI stood at 245/8, with Arjun emerging as Goa’s best bowler after returning 3/50 from 17 overs.
Earlier, Goa had posted 338 in their first innings, where Samit contributed with the ball, claiming 2/18 in nine overs. Although Arjun Tendulkar didn’t feature for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2025 IPL, he enjoyed a solid 2024-25 domestic season with Goa. He was instrumental in their Ranji Trophy Plate League victory, taking 16 wickets in four matches at an impressive average of 18.18.
He also contributed in Goa’s white-ball outings in both the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
