Bangladesh post 154/5 against Afghanistan in Asia Cup 2025

Bangladesh failed to capitalise on the start given by their openers, Saif Hassan and Tanzid Hasan, against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2025. Tanzid scored 52 runs off 31 balls, laced with 4 fours and 3 sixes in a do-or-die contest for his team. Saif amassed 30 runs off 28 balls, with the help of 2 boundaries and 1 maximum.

Captain Litton Das managed just 9 runs off 11 balls. Noor Ahmad gave two big blows to the Tigers, dismissing Tanzid and Das.

Towhid Hridoy’s 26 runs came in 20 balls, but he didn’t stay in the middle for a long time. Shamim Hossain played a slow innings, scoring 11 runs off 11 balls.

Nurul Hasan (12 runs off 6 balls) and Jaker Ali (12 off 13 balls) took the score to 154/5 in 20 overs.

For Afghanistan, Noor and Rashid Khan were the most successful bowlers, taking two wickets each.
