Dancer? MS Dhoni Lists down ‘Entertainer’ Virat Kohli’s Off-Field Qualities

The Indian cricket team has gone through many transition phases over the course of its history. However, if there is one phase that seemed to take place in the smoothest manner without any friction, it was the one when the baton passed from MS Dhoni‘s hand to Virat Kohli.

MS Dhoni has been one of the key members of the team when it came to spotting Kohli’s potential as a player and as a leader. There were multiple fragile moments in the latter’s early days as a player in the team. Some even led to him getting suspended like the infamous finger incident in Australia.

Dhoni’s backing and Kohli’s self-realization as an athlete transformed the latter into a cricketing great who then rules the cricket world for years to come. Both athletes have often been asked questions about each other at events, and both have spoken from the heart about each other. Kohli has wholeheartedly praised and been grateful to Dhoni for backing him in tough times.

Dhoni too in many interviews has praised Kohli’s abilities on the field and talked highly about his hard work. In a recent event where the World Cup winning captain was present, he was asked once again about Kohli but this time in non-cricketing terms. He was asked about the various talents the star batter has apart from cricket and Dhoni had quite a lot to say.

He is a good singer, he is a good dancer, he is good at mimicry. If he is in the mood he is very very entertaining.

Virat Kohli has been seen singing in a few events and also has mimicked a few of his teammates hilariously on various occasions. Kohli’s dancing has not limited itself to events but he has shaken the odd leg on the field as well making the crowd go bonkers at times.

There are still 7 to 8 months before the next IPL season kicks off. However, people are already intrigued to know about MS Dhoni’s future in the IPL. The CSK legend, currently 44, has been treating his fans every year with an appearance in the IPL.

Although the last two seasons have been poor for the franchise with this year’s edition being the worst in their entire IPL history, their supporters still hold the same emotion for their talisman leader. They come in huge numbers to support him, and the noise decibels are unimaginable. In a recent event Dhoni spoke up once again about his future in the IPL.

Me and CSK, we are together. You know even for the next 15-20 years. I hope they don’t think I’ll be playing for another 15-20 years! It’s not about one or two years. I will always be sitting in a yellow jersey. You know whether I’ll be playing or not in a while.

Dhoni has explicitly stated that he will continue to be with the CSK team even after he stops playing. He also mentioned an estimated amount of years stating he could be with the team for almost 20 years from now. However, the CSK former leader still kept the fans guessing as he didn’t disclose for many more years he will continue to be a part as a player.
