Devon Conway is back on New Zealand's central contracts list for the 2026-27 season! In their announcement of the 20-member roster, NZC also revealed that pace bowler Blair Tickner is returning, while Adithya Ashok and Muhammad Abbas will be stepping aside for these two.

For the past couple of years, Conway has been on a casual playing agreement with NZC due to his commitments in various T20 leagues around the globe. However, with New Zealand gearing up for a crucial phase in Test cricket, Conway has made himself available for all international matches during this contract period, which runs from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027.

On the flip side, Tickner has been making waves with his impressive performances for the national team and the Central Stags in domestic competitions, including a standout five-wicket haul against Ireland in a one-off Test.

Zak Foulkes and Mitch Hay, who were awarded central contracts last time around, have kept their spots after participating in all three formats for New Zealand over the past year. Additionally, NZC confirmed that Michael Bracewell and Mark Chapman have opted not to be ranked in Test cricket.

As a result, they will be included in the central contracts list solely as white-ball specialists. In the coming weeks, NZC will announce details about casual playing agreements, with discussions already in progress. Players like Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson, and Tim Seifert are expected to be in the mix for those casual contracts.
