Team India’s star batter Shreyas Iyer has refused to play Test cricket. He has been dropped from the ongoing 4-day unofficial match between India A and Australia A. Iyer was the captain of the team, but just before the match began, he withdrew.
According to media reports, Iyer has asked the BCCI for a break from red-ball cricket due to back stiffness and mental fatigue.
It is worth mentioning that the 30-year-old batter was not included in the Asia Cup squad. Now, he will also not be considered for the upcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies.
