The Dallas Mavericks may have fallen to the Utah Jazz to drop to 10-17 this season, but first-overall draft pick Cooper Flagg continues to make history. The nearly-19 year old out of Duke scored 42 points on 13-of-27 shooting from the field and 15-of-20 from the free throw line, adding seven rebounds and six assists.
Flagg also joined the elite company of LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony as the only teens in NBA history to rack up at least 40 points and dish out at least five assists in the same game. Despite some early-season struggles, Flagg has failed to score in double-figures just once this season, and has at least 15 points in the Mavericks last seven contests.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Earlier this season, Flagg broke LeBron James’ record for youngest player to score 35 points in a single game and now he’s the first 18 year old ever to drop 40. With that being said, can you name the NBA players to score 40 points in a game before their 21st birthday?
Good luck!
