The Pakistan Cricket Board has named the commentary panel for the upcoming 10th Pakistan Super League, and former England captain Alastair Cook joined the high-profile commentary panel for the first time.

“We are excited to welcome a star-studded commentary team, featuring some of the most iconic names in the cricketing world, including legendary former Test captains and top-tier broadcasters. Their involvement not only enhances the quality of our coverage but also highlights the global stature of the HBL PSL,” said HBL PSL CEO Salman Naseer in a PCB statement.

“This year, for the first time in HBL PSL history, we will be broadcasting a full match entirely in Urdu commentary, a move that brings us even closer to our passionate fanbase across Pakistan. We are confident that the combination of iconic voices and fresh innovations will enhance the viewing experience for fans at home and around the world,” he further stated.

The highly anticipated 34-match competition will take place in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi and will feature six teams: Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad, and Quetta Gladiators. It is set to take place from April 11 to May 18.

Dominic Cork, Mark Butcher, Jean-Paul Duminy, Mike Haysman, and Mark Nicholas are among the five English panelists in addition to Cook. Australia's Lisa Sthalekar, a two-time ICC Women's World Cup champion; Bangladesh's Athar Ali Khan; and New Zealand's Martin Guptill were also included by the PCB to increase global viewership at matches.

For Pakistan, the panel will include Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram, Ramiz Raja, Aamir Sohail, Urooj Mumtaz, and Bazid Khan. The Pakistan commentary is equipped with legends who are rich in experience when it comes to international cricket. Waqar and Wasim are members of the PCB Hall of Fame.

HBL PSL will broadcast an entire match with Urdu commentary for the first time, which will mark a historic occasion in the PSL. The team members include Salman Butt, Marina Iqbal, Ali Younis, Tariq Saeed, and Aqeel Samar.
