Multan Sultans pulled off the fifth-highest successful chase in Pakistan Super League history, riding on a magnificent hundred from Sahibzada Farhan to beat Hyderabad Kingsmen by six wickets in Lahore. Chasing 226, Sultans got over the line with eight balls to spare. Farhan led the charge with an unbeaten 106 off 57 balls while Steve Smith made a quick 46 off 20. After a tranquil first over, the pair took control of the Powerplay, helping the Sultans race to 83 before the field spread out. Farhan brought up his fifty in just 25 balls and kept the innings on track even as wickets fell at the other end. Earlier, Kingsmen posted a strong 225 for 5. Maaz Sadaqat scored 62 off 26 and reached his half-century in just 19 balls while Sharjeel Khan remained unbeaten on 51 from 26 balls. Despite the big total, Marnus Labuschagne-led Kingsmen sank to their third straight defeat, while Multan Sultans registered back-to-back wins to kickstart their campaign on a promising note.
