Right after crushing Delhi Capitals in their 70s, Royal Challengers got bundled out in just 155 runs! The Gujarat Titans received a massive boost in their run rate with an all-around convincing win against Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 4 wickets on April 30 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Rashid Khan finished the chase with a boundary off Suyash Sharma in the 16th over.

Even though RCB could not put up a decent score with the bat, they still had their chances with the ball. The GT had a bit of wobble in the middle. But Shubman Gill made a healthy base for the GT batters to go for the win. Even though RCB will be unharmed in the points table, as it is their second defeat, GT stole two valuable points.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru faltered Jason Holder

In the mid-innings interview, Holder was asked if he had a magnet attached to his body! That man has been everywhere taking three catches including a controversial one of Rajat Patidar. Well, RCB posted 155 all out in 19.2 overs, with a run rate of 8.01, after a start that promised much more.

Virat Kohli set the early tempo with a brisk 28 off 13 balls (SR 215.38), while Devdutt Padikkal top-scored with 40 off 24, striking five fours and two sixes. The side reached 79/2 in 7.4 overs but lost momentum through regular wickets.

The middle order failed to capitalize, with Rajat Patidar (19), Tim David (9), and Krunal Pandya (4) falling in quick succession as RCB slipped from 91/4 to 96/6. A double blow at 126 saw both Padikkal and Romario Shepherd (17) depart, denting hopes of a late flourish. Only Bhuvneshwar Kumar (15*) offered resistance at the end.

For Gujarat Titans, Arshad Khan led with 3/22, while Rashid Khan (2/19) and Jason Holder (2/29) ensured tight control.

GT's lower order completed Gill's half-finished job

Chasing 156, GT reached 158/6 in just 15.5 overs at a run rate of 9.97, completing the chase with ease despite a few hiccups. Shubman Gill led the charge with a rapid 43 off 18 (SR 238.88), while Jos Buttler smashed 39 off 19, including four sixes. The team raced to 57/2 inside five overs and crossed 100 within nine overs, keeping the required rate under control.

RCB did strike back through Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who returned figures of 3/28, dismissing Gill, Buttler, and Sai Sudharsan. Romario Shepherd also chipped in with 2/30 to briefly stall the innings at 111/5.

However, Rahul Tewatia (27*) and Rashid Khan (7*) guided the chase calmly, sealing the win with 25 balls remaining.
