Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is currently out of international cricket due to fitness concerns. The 32-year-old last played for the Mumbai Indians during the IPL 2026 season, where he led the side to a ninth-place finish in the points table. After such a disastrous performance, there are massive doubts about Pandya’s future with his current side.
Cricbuzz reported that the potential rumoured trade deal with the Chennai Super Kings isn’t happening. It was heavily thought that the player could head over to Chepauk after the number 07:07 was spotted on his mobile wallpaper. Speculations arose that a possible trade could take place between the two former champion sides.
It was also reported by Cricbuzz that there were reports of a swap between CSK and Delhi Capitals for left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed and veteran batter David Miller. Both franchises, though, have refuted such claims.
Speaking about trades, Revsportz had reported that Mumbai and Rajasthan Royals could be involved in a blockbuster trade involving Hardik and Yashasvi Jaiswal. That potential trade has excited a lot of fans since Jaiswal has played all his domestic cricket in Mumbai.
Former New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming is set to retain his spot in the CSK dugout as the coach for the IPL 2027 season. The five-time IPL winners failed to make it to the playoffs for a third successive year. The 53-year-old had put the onus on the franchise when asked about his status as the coach.
As per a report by Cricbuzz, the Super Kings team management continues to retain its faith in Fleming, who, as a former Kiwi star, first played for the franchise in 2008 before retiring and taking over the coaching duties. He formed a great partnership with MS Dhoni and won five IPL titles and two Champions League titles.
Last time Chennai made it past the playoff stage was in 2023, where they eventually won the title, beating the Gujarat Titans in the final. This year, Ruturaj Gaikwad and his side finished eighth in the points table with 12 points from 14 games and ended the campaign with three successive losses.
