During the IPL 2026 encounter between the Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede, Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle shared a witty remark about Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan.

Bhogle was seated with Kevin Pietersen and Ravi Shastri in the commentary box, when the situation was brought about with Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian speedster's phenomenal T20 record was the talk of the town.

While discussing batters that have had good times at Bumrah's expense, Pietersen went on to recollect Karun Nair's innings which he called as one-of-its-kind as he mentioned only the few batters that have successfully attacked the speedster.

Pietersen Lauds Karun Nair's Terrific Knock

Former England batter Pietersen went into a lot more details about Nair's innings that took place for Delhi Capitals against the Mumbai Indians last season. The batter hammered 89 runs off 40 deliveries at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, where 12 fours and 5 maximums were hammered.

Nair came after Bumrah in the powerplay and attacked fearlessly which was a brilliant display where he brought up his half-century in mere 22 deliveries while taking on one of the best fast bowlers in the world.

"There was only one innings last year and there is only one batter I've actually seen who is Karun Nair for Delhi last year that got hold of Jasprit Bumrah. It was one of the most incredible batting displays. That was picking your gap, picking your area and actually just picking each delivery."

Bhogle's "Documentary" Joke Trends on Social Media

As soon as the former England cricketer said it, Harsha Bhogle said a hilarious line which was heard by everyone, "He didn't even make a documentary about himself, Karun Nair, after that."

This was a statement directed at Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan, who had earlier released a documentary for making a couple of big sixes against the Indian bowler during the Asia Cup encounter which went on to be criticized by the cricket fans. This was not just due to him hitting Bumrah but also the fact that Pakistan lost the tournament by being defeated thrice by the Indian team including the summit clash.
