Pakistan suffered another batting collapse against India in the Asia Cup. After sensational batting by Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman, the remaining batters went back one after another, with Kuldeep Yadav taking four wickets, including three in an over. Pakistan were bowled out for 146 in 19.1 overs. From 113/1 at one stage, the Men in Green couldn’t even cross 150.

Farhan scored 57 runs off 38 balls, laced with 5 fours and 3 sixes. On the other hand, Fakhar amassed 46 runs off 35 deliveries, packed with 2 fours and 2 sixes.

The day belongs to Indian spinners Kuldeep, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakravarthy, who completely dismantled the Pakistan batting line-up in a span of a few years. Kuleep conceded 30 runs from his four overs. Axar picked up two wickets, giving away 26 runs. Varun got rid of two batters, with Pakistan batters scoring 30 runs on his deliveries. Jasprit Bumrah was also among the wicket-takers, picking up two scalps.

Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first.
