IPL 2026 DC vs CSK Match 48: Stats Review, Player Records & Milestones

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) celebrated their second win in a row with a solid eight-wicket triumph over the Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 48 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. This victory lifts the five-time champions to sixth place in the standings, now sitting on 10 points and just two shy of the playoff spots. 

DC won the toss and opted to bat first, but they struggled to put together a total of 155 runs in their 20 overs. Sameer Rizvi shone with the bat, finishing with an unbeaten 40 off 24 balls on a pitch that was a bit tricky. For CSK, Noor Ahmad stood out with the ball, taking two wickets while giving away just 22 runs in three overs. 

In response, the Super Kings chased down the target with more than two overs to spare, largely thanks to their star opener, Sanju Samson. The new addition to the team, who has already notched up two centuries this season, scored an impressive 87 not out to guide his team to victory. He was well-supported by Kartik Sharma, who also finished unbeaten, contributing 41 runs off 31 balls. 

As with all IPL matches this season, the clash between DC and CSK was filled with record-breaking moments and significant milestones. However, not all records are positive, as the Capitals found themselves on the wrong side of an unwanted statistic in this season's competition.
