IPL 2026: DC vs KKR, Match 51 at Arun Jaitley Stadium - Stats & player battles to watch

Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are still firmly in contention for a place in the IPL 2026 playoffs. More importantly, both teams are in control of their fate, but won't be for long as there are only a few games left before the league stage comes to an end.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were remarkable in their previous clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Pat Cummins failed to judge the pitch accurately, and his batters were outdone by the spin-bowling duo of Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine.

They have still not included Matheesha Pathirana, and are relying on the quartet of Finn Allen, Cameron Green, Rovman Powell and Narine to win them games. 

Delhi, meanwhile, have not done justice to themselves this season by blowing hot and cold. Kuldeep Yadav has looked like a pale shadow of himself. He was not even trusted to bowl his four overs by his captain and fellow spin-bowling partner Axar Patel in the previous game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

With four more games left this season, they need to search for consistency, or else they may be left to rue the opportunities gone begging.
