Ravindra Jadeja delivered a crucial breakthrough on Day 4 of the second Test between India and the West Indies in Delhi on Monday, October 13, by dismissing centurion John Campbell. The left-arm spinner trapped Campbell lbw, ending the 177-run partnership he had shared with Shai Hope. Campbell scored 115 off 199 balls, hitting three sixes and 12 boundaries.
The wicket fell in the 64th over of the West Indies’ second innings. Jadeja bowled a short-length delivery from around the wicket that pitched on middle and leg and turned in, beating Campbell’s attempted reverse sweep. The batter was adjudged lbw, and although the on-field umpire took a moment to decide, replays confirmed that the ball would have struck the stumps despite Campbell’s review.
