Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill has won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Match No. 60 of the Indian Premier League 2026. The game will start at 07:30 pm IST.

Toss Decision – Captain’s Comments & Reasoning

"We will bowl first. There was rain around yesterday, and it will be slow in the first innings. The batting will become easy in the second innings. If you want to win the championship, you need your bowlers to do well. It is good for us that they are firing all cylinders. We are not taking any team lightly. If you finish among the top two, you get one extra match. We don't want to play that extra match but you get two chances to make it to the final," Shubman Gill said.

KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane would have bowled first as well.

"We are taking one game at a time. We are playing good cricket, and hopefully we will win all three games. We have won four out of our five games. We wanted to field as well. There was rain last night, but I don't think it will change. It is important to be at our best. With win blowing, there are less chances of rain," he said.
