As the video continued to spread online, several social media users viewed the exchange as a heated on-field disagreement that had extended beyond the match. However, the complete interaction appeared much less confrontational than many initially believed.
The incident eventually concluded with both cricketers sharing a handshake, suggesting the moment was more likely friendly banter than any serious conflict between them.
Krunal Pandya later dismissed the speculation through an Instagram post featuring himself with Nicholas Pooran.
Sharing the photo, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder wrote in the caption:
“No lafda (no trouble), only love Congrats to my bro @nicholaspooran on completing 100 IPL games. Proud of you, brother, many more to come. Btw, how was the bouncer ?”
Pooran also responded in the comments section, further writing, “Only love here guys. One of my best Mates.”
