Following Mumbai Indians’s dominant 99-run victory over Gujarat Titans on April 20, a touching off-field moment quickly went viral. A video showing Mahieka Sharma, partner of MI captain Hardik Pandya, rushing toward him for a celebratory hug captured widespread attention on social media.

As the team bus reached the hotel (or during post-match celebrations at the stadium), Mahieka was seen stepping forward and running toward Hardik. In a scene reminiscent of a film, she embraced the all-rounder warmly, marking Mumbai’s first major win of the season.

Fans also noticed the happiness on Hardik’s face, with many suggesting that Mahieka has been his “lucky charm” since the couple made their relationship public on Instagram earlier this year. Watch the video here:

This was not the first time the couple grabbed attention. Just last month, Mahieka Sharma was seen on the field at Narendra Modi Stadium celebrating India’s 2026 T20 World Cup triumph alongside Hardik Pandya. On that occasion, Hardik told broadcasters, “Since Mahieka came into my life, I have only been winning.”

Hardik Pandya Praises Tilak Varma

Hardik Pandya commended Tilak Varma for his match-winning century and applauded his team’s overall performance following their commanding 99-run win over Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026. Speaking at the post-match presentation, Pandya underlined the significance of the victory for Mumbai Indians’s campaign, appreciating both individual excellence and team execution.

“Very important. It is always tough to win away from home. Also, Ahmedabad has not been a favourable venue for Mumbai Indians, so this win feels very satisfying,” Pandya said.

One of the standout moments of the match was Tilak Varma’s maiden IPL century, which helped Mumbai post a total of 199/5. The captain had special words for the youngster, noting that the innings came at the right time and made a big impact.

“Tilak has immense talent and does not need much guidance. It was just a matter of time before he delivered. This innings was crucial for him, for the team, and for Mumbai Indians,” he added.
