The 'Playoff debut scoring-record by team' quiz

With former Spurs legends and Hall of Famers David Robinson and Tim Duncan in attendance for San Antonio's Game 1 win over the Portland Trail Blazers, Victor Wembanyama made franchise history. 

Wemby scored 35 points in his postseason debut to top Duncan’s previous record of 32 and earn the first postseason victory of his career. The 22-year-old Frenchman added five rebounds, one assist and two blocks in the contest, and he became just the third Spur with a 30-point performance in their playoff debut. 

After the win, Wembanyama was asked if he felt increased pressure following in the footsteps of legendary centers like Robinson and Duncan. 

“I would say it feels safe,” he said. 

“It feels like if you trip, there’s lots of hands that are ready to catch you.”
