New Zealand captain Sophie Devine won the toss and chose to bat first against Bangladesh in the 11th match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati

Toss Decision – Captain’s Comments & Reasoning

“We will bat first today as it’s a used wicket, and so we want to have a first crack at it. We’re confident in putting up a total on the board and then defending it. We’ve done some things well, but we haven’t been able to maintain them for long periods. We aim to be more consistent with our bowling, so we’ll keep it simple. There’s one change – Rosemary Mair comes in,” Sophie Devine said.

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana wanted to bowl first.

“We wanted to bowl first as our bowlers did well in the first two games, and we want to give them a chance to start. It’s a great opportunity for us, and we aim to play our best game today. We’ve made two changes, Sumaiya and Nishita come into the side,” Nigar Sultana said.
