Heather Knight, Sarah Glenn and Danni Wyatt-Hodge headline England Women’s 15-member squad for the ODI World Cup in India 2025. Experienced campaigner Knight, who sustained an injury to her hamstring in May, has returned to the team and is expected to be fit and available for the marquee event which runs from September 30 to November 2.

Both Glenn and Wyatt-Hodge did not feature in the ODI squad against India earlier this summer but have managed to find a way back into the mix. This will be the first global assignment for both head coach Charlotte Edwards and captain Nat Sciver-Brunt.

Kate Cross overlooked due to lingering back injury and dip in form

The likes of Kate Cross, Maia Bouchier and Alice Davidson-Richards have missed out on selection. Sophie Ecclestone spearheads the spin contingent, which also includes left-arm compatriot Linsey Smith and offspinner Charlie Dean, along with legspinner Sarah Glenn, who is making her return after playing in the West Indies series but sitting out the subsequent visit to India through June and July.

Squad: Nat Sciver-Brunt, Em Arlott, Tammy Beaumont, Lauren Bell, Alice Capsey, Charlie Dean, Sophia Dunkley, Sophie Ecclestone, Lauren Filer, Sarah Glenn, Amy Jones, Heather Knight, Emma Lamb, Linsey Smith, Danni Wyatt-Hodge

“India is an amazing place to play cricket, and as a group we have a huge opportunity to go and do something special. ODI World Cups are the pinnacle of our sport. They only come around every four years and we’re so excited to get over there to start our preparation,” head coach Edwards said.
