Former Pakistan player Atiq-uz-Zama has levelled serious allegations against the PCB, saying that current players are using low-quality kits in the Asia Cup 2025. According to him, the Pakistan Cricket Board is involved in corruption and the tenders are given to friends and not professional companies.

“Pakistan players are sweating through low-quality kits while others wear proper dry-fits. This is what happens when tenders go to friends, not professionals. Corruption dripping more than the sweat,” Zaman posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha told his players to improve their batting ahead of the clash against India on September 21. After their group stage match, the two arch-rivals are all set to play in the Super Four Stages of the tournament. He commented after the Men in Green registered a 41-run win over the UAE in their third and final group stage contest.

“We need to bat well in the middle overs. The bowlers bowled well, but we haven’t done well in the batting department. If we bat well, we can post 170-180 runs. Shaheen is a match-winner, and his batting has improved. Abrar has been outstanding for us in the bowling department. We are ready for any challenge. If we play good cricket, we can beat any side,” Salman Agha said.

Pakistan amassed just 146/9 against the UAE and were rescued by Shaheen Shah Afridi, who accumulated an unbeaten 29 runs off 14 balls. Saim Ayub has registered three ducks in as many matches, while Agha is also struggling as a batter.

“We have been playing good cricket in the last few months, but there is a need to show improvement in the middle overs to post a good total,” he added.
