India are gearing up to face off neighbors Pakistan in both teams’ third group-stage match at the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, on Sunday, February 15, 2026. However, the much-anticipated World Cup clash at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium could be affected by rain.
According to AccuWeather, the city will experience 100% cloud cover on Sunday, with a roughly 13% chance of rain in the evening. The heavy air could test stamina, and under lights, even a hint of moisture may offer assistance to fast bowlers.
On paper, India may appear steadier. Their depth in T20 cricket and recent consistency makes them the favourites but Pakistan have always carried a reputation for unpredictability. On their day, they have the wherewithal to beat the best in the business.
Ahead of the India vs Pakistan clash, Ishan Kishan said, “Pakistan clash, obviously, it would be a special one for everyone. So we’re not just thinking so much about the future game. But yeah, once we get there, we look at the wicket, and we have an idea of what sort of match is going to happen and what will be a good total, and we’ll just play accordingly.”
