Rashid Khan IPL Salary: Year-wise earnings from 2017 to 2026

Rashid Khan has become the most reliable wicket-taker in the modern T20 landscape. The wily spinner has gained a vast amount of experience by playing for several T20 franchises worldwide. He has become a household name in India due to his nearly decade-long association with the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Rashid's association with the IPL began in 2017 after Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) splurged INR 4 crore to obtain his services. Unlike other debutants, Rashid announced himself in the IPL with a spectacular season. He bagged 17 wickets in 14 games at an average of 21.05 and an economy rate of 6.62. He reaped the rewards of an impactful debut season as SRH increased his paycheck by INR 9 crore, a hike of 125%.

His performance graph kept mounting season after season for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Nangarhar-born bagged 21 wickets in 2018 at an economy rate of 6.73, 17 poles in 2019 at 6.28, 20 scalps in 2020 at 5.37 and 18 wickets in his final season (2021) with SRH at an economy of 6.69. 

His dream run at SRH came to a halt after he was released after the 2021 season. Rashid's annual IPL earnings registered a jump of 67% after Gujarat Titans (GT) bought him for INR 15 crore at the mega auction in the lead-up to the 2022 season. Rashid has been plying his trade for Titans in the lucrative tournament since then. He was retained for the 2026 season for a sum of INR 18 crore and was the most expensive retention announced by the franchise.
