RCB vs GT IPL 2026: Records & Stats at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are set to face off against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 34 of the 2026 Indian Premier League at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 23. 

After suffering their first home defeat of the season against the Delhi Capitals on Saturday, April 18, the defending champions are eager to bounce back. RCB has been one of the standout teams in the 2026 IPL, and they’ll be looking to reclaim their winning form in what will be their final home game of the league season at Chinnaswamy. Their last two league matches will take place at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur. 

On the other hand, the Titans are coming off a heavy 99-run defeat to the Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday, April 20. They had been riding high on a three-game winning streak before that loss and are also keen to get back on track, but they’ll have to tackle the challenge of winning at one of the toughest venues in the IPL.

The Chinnaswamy Stadium is renowned as one of the league's premier batting havens. The black soil pitch is typically flat, allowing the ball to come onto the bat nicely. While it does provide some assistance to fast bowlers early on with lateral movement, it’s also known for favoring hit-the-deck bowling. Although bowlers can find some grip, the shorter boundaries and quick outfield can often diminish that advantage. 

In their last encounter at this venue, RCB faced off against DC in a nail-biting low-scoring match dominated by spinners. The Capitals' bowlers put the brakes on the RCB batters, limiting them to just 175/8. Despite a shaky start where Bhuvaneshwar Kumar took three wickets during the powerplay, the Capitals managed to chase down the target in a thrilling finish that went down to the final over.
