After hitting the road for a couple of games, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru are back at their home turf, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, ready to take on the Lucknow Super Giants on April 15.
The Royal Challengers are riding high after a commanding win against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on April 12. English opener Phil Salt finally found his groove, smashing a quickfire 78 off just 36 balls, while skipper Rajat Patidar kept the momentum going with a blistering 53 off 20 balls. Having won both of their home games so far, they’re eager to keep that winning streak alive.
On the flip side, the Lucknow Super Giants faced a tough loss against the Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Stadium on April 12. Their batting performance left much to be desired, struggling to keep up with the Titans' consistent play. While the Lucknow batters got off to decent starts, they just couldn’t convert those into big scores.
Nicholas Pooran’s form is a hot topic, as the explosive West Indies player has only managed 41 runs at a strike rate of 85.42 over four matches. However, LSG did discover a rising star in Mukul Choudhary, who played a crucial role with a 54 off 27 balls to help seal a tense chase against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
The Chinnaswamy Stadium has been a high-scoring venue, with both of its matches there exceeding 400 runs combined. Given the batting talent on display from both teams, fans can expect another thrilling showdown. Historically, these two teams have engaged in fierce contests, always bringing their A-game and a whole lot of intensity.
