Rajasthan Royals (RR) beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 8 wickets in the third match of IPL 2026 at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati. Riyan Parag-led side dominated the game from the beginning, and they chased the target comfortably in 13 overs.

CSK Batting Collapse: Chennai All out for 127

CSK, batting first failed miserably. Sanju Samson 6 off 4 balls, while skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad also managed to score 6. Ayush Mhatre fell for a duck, and Matthew Short added just 2.

Sarfaraz Khan tried to stabilize the innings, scoring 17, but his innings also couldn't last long. Ravindra Jadeja bagged two important wickets in the 7th over of the innings; he got rid of Sarfaraz Khan and Shivam Dubey (6). CSK were 71/6 after 10 overs.

Kartik Sharma also played a little innings of 18 runs, but could not improve the total from the early collapse. Lastly, Jamie Overton played a fighting innings of 43 runs from 25 balls and helped CSK post 127 on the board. A below-par score, though.

RR Bowling Performance: Discipline Displayed

The RR bowlers put in a brilliant bowling performance. Nandre Burger got the first breakthrough and put CSK under pressure right away. Jadeja picked up two important wickets in the middle of the innings. The RR bowlers never let CSK make partnerships.

RR Chase: Easy Win in 13 overs

Chasing a total of 128, the RR openers started attacking the opposition from the beginning. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, in particular, played an aggressive knock of 52 runs in just 17 deliveries, which was studded with 4 boundaries and 5 sixes. He smashed his fifty in just 15 deliveries and took the game away from CSK early on.

After the dismissal of Suryavanshi at 75, Dhruv Jurel added 18 and then was dismissed in the 9th over. The RR skipper, Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal managed the rest of the chase with ease and wrapped the game up in 13 overs.

It was an all-around performance from the Rajasthan Royals as their bowling was spot on, and their batting did exceptionally well too. Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, were below par in both aspects of the game.

Player of the Match: Nandre Burger (2 wickets for 26 runs).
