The Gujarat Titans batter survived the "soft pitch" and anchored the innings despite early departures of Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler. He scored a gritty half century with which he crossed 500 runs for the Gujarat Titans. This is the second consecutive time Sai scored 500 runs for the third consecutive season playing for GT.
On May 12, in the match between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sai contributed 61 runs off 44 runs as his tally increased to 501 runs. He achieved this playing 12 innings with a strike rate of 155.10.
With this, he became the only fourth batter in the Indian Premier League to score over 500 runs for more than three straight years. He joined the elite list comprising Chris Gayle (2011-13), Shikhar Dhawan (2019-21), and Virat Kohli (2023-25).

What sets Sudharsan and Gayle apart from the others is their rare combination of consistency and attacking intent. They remain the only two players to record three successive IPL seasons with 500-plus runs while maintaining a strike rate above 140 each year.
Sudharsan’s strike rates across the last three editions stand at 141.29, 156.17, and 155.10, underlining the left-hander’s ability to score heavily without slowing down the tempo.
Meanwhile, GT managed 168 runs, losing 5 wickets. Apart from Sudharsan, Nishant Sindhy played a crucial cameo of 22 runs. Washington Sundar scored another 50 off 33 balls. For SRH, Sakib Hussain and Praful Hinge took two wickets, while skipper Pat Cummins got one.
