In the Asia Cup group match on Wednesday, Pakistan defeated UAE by 41 runs to secure a spot in the Super-4. Batting first, Pakistan were bundled out for 147 runs, but their bowlers delivered a strong performance to dismiss UAE for just 105 runs.

With this win, Pakistan have qualified for the Super-4, where they will face India on September 21.

After the match, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha said in the post-match presentation:

  • “We need to improve our batting in the middle overs. Our bowlers did a great job, but the batting wasn’t up to expectations.”
  • Pointing towards the upcoming clash against India, he added, “We are ready for any challenge. If we play our best game, we can perform well against any team.”
