Shreyas Iyer, Georgia Voll Named ICC Players of the Month for March 2025

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has named India’s Shreyas Iyer and Australia’s Georgia Voll as the ICC Men’s and Women’s Players of the Month for March 2025.

Iyer earned the men’s accolade following a standout run in India’s successful ICC Men’s Champions Trophy campaign. His consistent batting performances played a crucial role in India’s third title win, including a 79-run knock against New Zealand in the group stage, a key 45-run partnership with Virat Kohli in the semi-final against Australia, and a composed 48 in the final, again against New Zealand. He scored 172 runs at an average of 57.33 across the final three matches of the tournament.

This marks Iyer’s second Player of the Month award and continues India’s streak after Shubman Gill’s February win. He edged out New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra for the honor.

“I’m truly honored to be named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March. This recognition is incredibly special, especially in a month where we lifted the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, a moment I will cherish forever," Iyer said

On the women’s side, Georgia Voll claimed her first ICC Player of the Month award after a dominant T20I series performance against New Zealand. Voll, who made her international debut in December, scored a rapid half-century off 30 balls in Auckland, added 36 runs in Mount Maunganui, and finished with a 75-run match-winning innings in Wellington. Her efforts helped Australia secure a 3-0 series sweep over the T20 World Cup champions.

“Winning this award is certainly a nice way to cap off what's been an incredible summer for myself and the team," Voll said.

She was selected ahead of fellow Australian Annabel Sutherland and the USA’s Chetnaa Prasad. Her award makes her the fourth consecutive Australian woman to earn the title.
