Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been breaking records for one year. He has already scripted several milestones. Ahead of the U-19 World Cup, his form is a significant boost for India. In the recently concluded series between the India vs South Africa U-19 teams, he slammed 127 runs off 74 balls in the third match. It was his third hundred in Youth ODIs.

Suryavanshi is the first batter to amass three tons in Youth ODIs before turning 15. He broke Babar Azam’s record, who had posted two hundreds in U-19 ODI format at the age of 14 or above. Babar and Vaibhav are the only two players to have multiple hundreds in Youth ODIs before turning 15.

In the third contest on Wednesday, the Indian southpaw and his opening Aaron George, hit centuries against the Proteas. The two added 227 runs for the first wicket and signalled the team’s intent ahead of the global tournament.

Suryavanshi is the youngest skipper to accumulate a hundred in Youth ODIs. The 227-run stand is the highest opening partnership in Youth ODIs.

He started his magnificent run for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2025. Vaibhav smashed a 35-ball hundred against the Gujarat Titans, the second fastest in the history of the tournament.

He scored 262 runs at an average of more than 50 and a strike rate of 182 in the U-19 Asia Cup. Suryavanshi broke the record for the fastest Youth ODI hundred on his way to 171 runs off 95 deliveries against the UAE.
