Amid a high-stakes Indian Premier League match an open dialogue between a Chennai Super Kings fan and a Gujarat Titan cheerleader has gone viral over social media leaving netizens impressed. It started when the fan said something disrespectful which the cheerleader was ready for and how she responded to it.

Shared by an X user with the account Valence Cricket, the clip shows a CSK fan leaning through a fence and remarking:

"You look like an angel, you would look even better without a lot of makeup on."

The cheerleader appeared taken a back, but after a slight pause she came up with a comeback that proved to be quick and witty.

Her response: "First brush your teeth before talking, do you want some makeup and eyelashes?" instantly brought amusement to the spectator standing beside her and later across social media.

Fans laud the cheerleader for her quick wit

The viral video then made its way across different social media platforms. While many were quick to criticize the fan for his utterly disrespectful and unwarranted comment. The supporters also praised the cheerleader for her brilliant comeback and for the witty way in which she handled it and "owned" the moment. The post caption itself hinted at it. "No wonder they try to keep the cheerleaders away from fans" was written as the caption to the post.

The debate on fan behaviour at sporting events rekindles

The fan-cheerleader exchange then again sparked a debate about the behavior of supporters at live sporting events. Most fans seemed to be of the view that cheerleaders should be respected as a part of sports and no such personal remarks should be made to them.
